 | Web Spotlight - Bonfire Dreaming |

Bonfire Dreaming is the CD bombshell created by didgeridoo-er and musician, Jay Atwood of the Wicked Tinkers. (Read Article)
Jay's approach to tribal and techno musical mix combines with his experience from his musical background with Boston’s Berklee College of Music and his more recent gigs with the Wicked Tinkers and the didgeridoo.
This exciting fusion of various instruments and electronica is perfect for the bellydancer, firedancer, or hoopdancer during performance or practice sessions. Bonfire Dreaming has an ethnic kick that creates a haunting, mysterious scene (The Hunt) to the powerful, thumping, rhythms of the didgeridoo (Firedance).
I heartily recommend this CD for parties, firedancing, bellydancing, or just plain dancing! Check out Jay's website for more information and where to purchase his CD!
Listen to Jay Atwood's Bonfire Dreaming and be prepared to go on an exotic global journey. Middle Eastern rythems and didgeridoo riffs are seemlessly woven into a lush and totally danceable musical landscape that is ancient, yet modern. If you like Afro Celt Sound System, Delerium, Enigma, and Dead Can Dance; this CD is not to be missed! - A Review on CD Baby

 | About This Site |

Dancing, drumming and many other rhythmic arts have been a viable part of cultures around the globe for thousands of years. The art of dancing is both a celebration of life and a ritual of the spirit. Drumming has been used for communication, for war, and for celebrating life and spirit. So too, are fire arts. Once a tool of intimidation, now is a tool to celebrate life, to feel the rush of dancing with fire, spinning all around you, to tone the mind, body and soul.
This magazine is dedicated to those who perform, play or dabble in the rhythmic arts. This includes, but is not limited to, drumming and percussion, bellydancing, hoop dancing, firedancing, folk dancing, world fusion music and many others. A global phenomenon, the art of rhythm has taken the world by storm, and with the advantages of the internet, brought them to others who previously had little to no resources for learning or discovering the rhythmic arts. Drum circles are virually everywhere, firedancing has gained momentum from being strictly a circus act, to becoming a popular hobby and original performance, bellydancing has exploded out the Hollywood sterotype and come into its own, empowering women, and showing the true beauty of this art.
Within these pages, you will find various articles, shared experiences, interviews, videos, pictures and an open forum that honors and spotlights these artists. We are always open to new material, articles or those who would be interested in sharing their experiences to be brought to these pages. Read on! We hope you enjoy our online magazine, and we look forward to hearing from you!
