Oakland's Guesthouse Music has established itself as one of the premiere underground house labels in the world. Featuring a talent roster of more than 300 artists, the label—helmed producer/DJ Mes (aka Jason Sutton)—has gone on to drop 600 vinyl and digital releases by artists from around the globe. Defined by a catalogue of beats that bump, thump and pump, Guesthouse continues blending old and new school sounds to deliver diggable tunes to the dance floor and beyond.

Guesthouse's roster is known for featuring a mix of new discoveries with legends of the underground house music scene. Some of Guesthouse's most touted successes include the breakout release "Why Don't You" by Gramophonedzie (a cross-genre cut that was licensed by Capitol Records and has sold 150,000 to date), Poncho Warwick's "Tainted Jazz" (which has spent 3 years in the Beatport Top 10 Chill Out Chart) and a number of tracks that have hit Beatport's Top 10 like Saison’s “Please Don’t Go,” DJ Dan's "Out of Nowhere," Legitimate Scandal's "Fu Gee La,” Sidney Charles “Groove Move” and Hazzaro's "Girls and Boys." Other artists include DJ Sneak, Junior Sanchez, DJ Dan, Mark Farina, Saison, DJ Fudge, WhiteNoize, Sidney Charles, Chris Simmonds, JT Donaldson, 1200 Warriors, Cozy Creatures, DeMarkus Lewis, The Sound Republic and of course Guesthouse's fearless leader, DJ Mes with releases like "Wanna Do" with Sonny Fodera and "Do the Freak" with Rescue. As the landscape of house continues to evolve, Guesthouse moves and grows with it. The label’s consistent schedule of releases has proved that Guesthouse is in for the long haul. And now in celebration of 10 years of Guesthouse Music, Mes and his mega talent roster are throwing down all year long, including special events at SXSW and WMC. “We’re constantly dropping something new,” Mes says. “You never know what surprise is around the corner!”
